It’s impossible to build a house in one day. Maybe you’ve never thought about this, but it says a lot about Productivity.
Imagine that every day, a certain builder tried to construct a house in a single day, and at the end of the day, he moved to another location to build another house.
Over time, he would become increasingly skilled at laying the foundation and starting the construction process but would never reach the finishing stages.
This is a profound thought when considering a day, but equally impactful if we think of a day as the entire span of our life. How sad it would be to never finish building our house and to never enjoy our creation.
What I mean to say has less to do with time and more with your thinking.
Every day, we collect, share, discover, and have various ideas. Although we live in an abundance of ideas, few are truly good and deserve our attention.
Moreover, we have our own ideas, which are as good as the result of our idea development process and interaction with other ideas.
Many of us waste our best ideas every day because we do not give them the attention they deserve.
Additionally, we often gorge on others’ ideas, which may not be that relevant to us. This happens because we want to build the house in one day.
Many have gotten used to following timelines on social media, but do you know which timeline is the most important? It’s the timeline of your thinking.
Have you ever been amazed by an idea or something so incredible that you wondered: How did they come up with that?
Well, if you think about it, that's not really the right question. Because, in fact, you know how they thought of it. They thought about it the same way you do.
The real question isn’t how they thought of that idea, but how they developed it. The person developed the idea through a process (of developing ideas and interacting with other ideas), and that’s what you actually want to learn more about.
The initial idea is like a house that cannot be built in a single day, but if revisited and developed over time, and this process happens again and again, incredible things can arise.
The moral of the story is that it’s necessary to have a Timeline of your thinking, where you can constantly review what you’ve thought and develop your ideas further, rethinking your thoughts.
This way, a much deeper work can be developed.

Summary: The text emphasizes the importance of nurturing and developing ideas over time rather than rushing through them. It uses the metaphor of trying to build a house in one day to illustrate how many people approach productivity—focusing on starting many projects but never fully developing them. The most important "timeline" is not found on social media but in our own thinking. By revisiting and refining our ideas, we can achieve deeper and more meaningful outcomes. The text introduces the concept of a "Timeline of Thought" as a key part of the 9POS productivity system, which is offered for free to help users experience this innovative approach.
